Women's High Jump

Blanka Vlasic is super-consistent this year and can't see her losing this. In the w/o fav markets, Slesarenko won in Athens jumping 2.06, but hasn't gone that high since, and had three fails in qualifying before scraping through. Chicherova wasn't too safe in qualifying either. Ariane Friedrich has made huge improvements in her PB this year (up 9cm) and I think she's worth an interest here.

Men's Javelin

Qualifying was a mess in the pouring rain, it makes it hard to assess anything from that. Will sit this one out.


Men's 800m

Was keen to lay Kaki in this but he didn't even make it to the final. Wide open now, pass.


Women's 1500m

Favourite quite short, but impressive this year. I thought Rodriguez had a bit left in the tank in the semi and you never know what can happen if the tactics aren't according to the script.

Lay Jamal to risk 1pt, at up to 1.58


Men's 5000m

Cheering for history with Bekele, but no bet at the price.


4x400m relays

Could the Yanks drop another baton? No bet in either.


Men's Marathon

Too hard to line up the form, happy to rest on our record for the fortnight.
